Frequently asked questions.
Quick answers about listings, scoring, Boosts, and how HoodScan ranks Robinhood Chain repos.
What is HoodScan?+
HoodScan is a leaderboard of open-source projects built for Robinhood Chain. We scan GitHub for repos that interact with the chain and its ecosystem, score their momentum, and rank the top 50.
How do repos get listed?+
Repos reach the leaderboard two ways: our scanner indexes Robinhood Chain repos on GitHub, or you paste a public GitHub repo URL. We verify the repo is real and related to Robinhood Chain, then list it.
What if a repo is already listed?+
We detect duplicates and point you to the existing entry. One canonical page per repository.
How is a repo scored?+
Every listed repo gets a momentum score. From GitHub: stars, commits, and recent activity. From HoodScan: community Boosts, one per repo per day.
What does Boosting a repo do?+
A Boost is a +1 signal. One Boost per repo per day, no wallet required. It adds to the momentum score and helps repos you believe in climb the top 50.
Can I Boost more than once?+
One Boost per repo per day. Come back tomorrow to back the same repo again.
Where does the data come from?+
Repository data is pulled directly from the GitHub API and continuously synced. Rankings combine GitHub momentum with Boosts recorded on HoodScan.
How often is data updated?+
GitHub repo data refreshes every few minutes. Leaderboard positions update in real time as Boosts land.
How does a repo climb the ranks?+
Collect community Boosts on HoodScan, ship commits, and earn stars from real users on GitHub. Keep shipping — stale repos drift down.
Who is HoodScan for?+
Builders shipping on Robinhood Chain, traders running bots and DeFi tools, and early adopters tracking the ecosystem.
Can I Boost my own repo?+
Yes. Boost your own repo or anyone else's. Each Boost adds one community signal, one per repo per day, no wallet required.
